Controlling the Frame

Each potential customer visits your site and takes a peak from their point of view. It's like looking through a widow frame. As they look at your offer they gain a certain perspective.
The better you control the frame the more you can control the outcome – in other words increase your conversions
This is especially true when it comes to affiliate offers. So much of the offer is out of your control and in the control of the product creator. They control the offer. They control the sales page. They control the bonuses. They control the graphics. Etc.
But that does not mean you have no control.
In fact, you can highly impact sales from your side of the process. Using Nicheology as the affiliate example, here are three ways to control the frame…
Pre-Framing
If a person is already on your email list you have a great opportunity to control the frame before they ever see the offer.
The keyword here is EXPECTATION.
The best way to generate expectation is through your personal experience with the product. In this case, Nicheology.
Answer these 3 questions…
1. What area of Nicheology has helped you the most?
2. What do you look forward to each month?
3. What has been your biggest takeaway from the current month?
Then you write about those answers in your pre-sell email
“Today I'm writing to tell you about my favorite online business site… it's called Nicheology.
“Nicheology has helped me _____________.
“Every single month I look forward to ____________.
“In fact, this month's issue has helped my business by ________”
You see, when people “witness” the impact of a product on YOU, you create a similar expectation for your readers. It makes selling much easier.
Present-Framing
The keyword for the present-frame is NOW.
When you say something like “In fact, this month's issue has helped my business by ________” in an email, you can use that as a trigger for sales by creating urgency.
“You need to join Nicheology today. Why? Because you can get instant access to this training that I'm raving about before it's archived. Join today and you can download it and have access to this critical strategy forever. Wait and you'll be too late. Paul will pull the training and you will lose out.”
Post-Framing
The keyword here is MISS.
After sending a promotion or two for Nicheology to the same list you want to stress the deadline. Few people want to miss something they could easily get if they just act in time
For example…
At the time of this article “Affiliate Marketing Assets” in the Profit Academy section will expire next Tuesday. That can be leveraged.
“Join today and you won't miss Affiliate Marketing Assets. (AMA) Paul's releasing the newest Profit Academy next Tuesday and AMA will be pulled. Get in now to secure this edition of the Profit Academy. This training shows you how to create a sellable affiliate marketing business! This is an income stream almost everyone is totally ignorant about. You will be one of the very few to even know this profit center even exists.”
Don't be like the average affiliate marketer…
“Hey, just found something cool. Click here to check it out.”
Be aggressive and leverage your influence by controlling the frame.
