Issue 79: Monetizing Mindset
NICHEOLOGY PROFIT LETTER By Paul Evans Issue #79 ================================ In this issue…
01: Monetizing Mindset 02: Membership CSI 03: Member Updates (important) ================================
Last week while in SF with my girl (a.k.a Baby Girl, a.k.a. wife of 15 years!), we met up with James Wedmore of Reality Mastermind at Pier 39.
James: So what are you guys up to?
Me: We're just hanging out. No agenda. This is our 5th trip here so we've seen the tourist stuff and are just relaxing.
James: That's cool.
Me: No doubt. Just wandering around. I think what I like most is getting away from it all and having no real schedule, no concerns about where to be next and not even thinking about what time it is.
Baby Girl: And how does that differ from your average day?
OK, she has a point. :-)
01: Monetizing Mindset
Mark Thompson wrote an article last month for Nicheology affiliates. I am reprinting it here because it hits the critical aspect of making profitable offers.
Do what this article suggests and you'll start to develop a monetizing mindset. The ability to see the profit potential of each offer…
WHAT do people buy? Go ahead and answer that question. WHAT do people buy? Whether they are at the grocery store or Wal-Mart or the gas station…WHAT do people buy? Let's make it even more personal. When they visit YOUR affiliate site, WHAT do they buy? Take a minute and think about this. Your answer is absolutely important. What do they buy at the grocery store? If you said “groceries” then you'd be WRONG. What do they buy at Wal-Mart? If you said “toothpaste” or “ceiling fans” or “ink pens”, you'd be WRONG. What do people buy at the gas station? If you said “gas,” you'd be WRONG. What do they buy at your site? If you said “my product” you'd be WRONG. If you ever want to earn significant profits doing business online (or anywhere else for that matter), then you need to understand WHAT people buy. They don't buy products. They don't buy services. They buy RESULTS. Get that into your head right now. People buy what they buy because they anticipate RESULTS. It's been said, “You don't sell a lawn mower, you sell a manicured lawn.” Think about it: folks don't buy those crazy ab machines, they buy washboard abs. They buy because they anticipate results. We buy toothpaste because we anticipate whiter, healthier teeth. We buy gas because we expect it to get us from one place to the next. We buy movie tickets because we want to enjoy a night of entertainment. We buy RESULTS. Now, let's fast forward to YOU and YOUR BUSINESS. What are you selling? C'mon, what are you selling? You are selling RESULTS. Doesn't matter what “type” of subscription service you are promoting, you are selling RESULTS. You are selling the ultimate benefit that your potential customer can expect to receive from purchasing your product or service. Sooooooooooooo -- translated into the one change you need to make to your salesletters, your ezine ads and your ecourses -- you need to focus on the RESULTS OF USING YOUR PRODUCT OR SERVICE. Your salesletter should focus on RESULTS. Your solo mailing should focus on RESULTS. Success is NOT an Accident, Paul

02: Membership CSI
Next week I'll be sending out info on Membership CSI, a four week coaching intensive. If you have ever thought about your own membership site (and you should), this course is the easiest way to do it.
I am especially stoked about a special bonus I am putting together that will have your membership site up and running in under 30 minutes.
